Ned Boynton Guitarist
San Francisco Examiner Music Critic Phil Elwood referred to him as "a wonderful guitarist". Ned currently plays in the house band on Wednesdays at Enrico's Supper club in North Beach and at "Downtown" in Berkeley. Ned has performed in a variety of styles including award winning CD releases by 1994 Bluegrass vocalist of the year Laurie Lewis, and 1991 Hip hop Artists of the year "Poor Righteous Teachers". He has recorded with such notable musicians as Maria Muldour, Dan Hicks, Ralph Carney and with groups the Hot Club of San Francisco and Austin Music Award winning Los Pinkys. Ned is a founding member of the Hot Club of San Francisco and Los Pinkys. He has performed with: Steve Miller, Bob Weir, Bud E. Luv, Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillit Likkers, Steve Lucky, Bob Daulpe, The Chazz Cats, Phil Howe's Jazz D'elagance, The Bob Schulz Swing Quartet, The Napa Valley Symphony, Rex Allen's Swing Express, Spirit of '29 Traditional Jazz Band, Bob Milke's New Bearcats, Little Joe and Los Familia, Ralph Carney's Special Parrot, Cynthia and Her Swing Set, The Honeymoaners, his group the Ned Boynton Combo and many others. He has been featured as a performer and writer in Just Jazz Guitar and JazzNow! Magazine. His performances have been featured on KCSM Radio, KALW Radio and on channel 53 Musician's Showcase.
